The Governors and Headteacher of Buglawton Primary School are looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work across our school.

Starting as soon as possible, the successful candidate must have experience of supporting children’s learning as well as their social and emotional needs. You should be warm, encouraging, patient and be dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for all children.  The successful candidate will work across the primary phases. Experience of supporting children with special educational needs (including those with a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD) is essential as this will form part of the role.

TEACHING ASSISTANT and OUT OF SCHOOL CLUB SUPERVISOR 

Grade 4 (£25,583 - £25,989 pro-rata), 12.00 – 3.15pm, 16.25 hours. Grade 5 (£26,403 – £28,142 pro-rata), 3.15 – 6.00pm, 13.75 hours

30 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 39 working weeks a year, plus 5.9 weeks holiday pay

Teaching Assistant and Out of School Club Supervisor - Buglawton Primary School - GOV.UK

The Governors and Headteacher of Buglawton Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to work in our lovely school and After School Club.

This is a split role that will comprise of working as a Teaching Assistant for five afternoons (1-3.15pm), working in our After School Club (3.15-6pm) and includes supervision at lunchtime.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children across the primary phase and will be enthusiastic, flexible and patient. The role will involve working alongside the class teacher to support learning for all children and supporting children with special educational needs within the class. A sense of humour is essential, as is the ability to work in a team and the willingness to adapt your practice to suit the child’s individual needs.

For the After School Club role, the successful candidate will love working with children, be self-motivated and committed to providing the best childcare possible. You will work with other school staff to ensure the smooth running of the club so that children are safe and engaged. You will promote play and model good social skills to ensure high standards of behaviour.

Lunchtimes will involve supervising on the playground, promoting games and engaging with the children.

In return, we can offer you a very supportive staff team who are committed and motivated to ensure that all our children strive to our motto to “be the best we can”. This position is offered on a temporary basis for 1 year initially, until the end of the Summer term 2027.

Current certificates in Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene would be an advantage but are not essential.
