The Headteacher and Governors of Buglawton Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and engaging Key Stage 2 class teacher to join our successful teaching team in a permanent role from September 2026.
The successful candidate will need to:
- Be an excellent and proven classroom practitioner
- Be dedicated to providing holistic development and pastoral support
- Be willing to make an active contribution to the broader life of the school
- Be committed to delivering a positive impact for all children
- Be fully inclusive, considering and meeting a variety of individual needs
- Have a thorough understanding of the transition to Key Stage 2 and how to ensure sustained progress

Early Years Teacher (Reception Class)

EYFS Teacher (Reception Class) - Buglawton Primary School - Teaching Vacancies - GOV.UK
The Headteacher and Governors of Buglawton Primary School seek to appoint an outstanding Early Years teacher to work in our Reception class from 1st September 2026 until May 2027. This is a temporary role to cover maternity leave.
The successful candidate must be a proven classroom practitioner, have an excellent knowledge of the Early Years curriculum, be able to work closely with other members of staff to establish the highest standards of achievement and be able to prioritise, plan and use their own initiative. The successful candidate should also have an excellent understanding of the way in which young children learn, effective continuous provision, and how to ensure progress through a highly purposeful play-based learning environment.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate commitment to the school vision and ethos, show integrity, self- awareness, excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and a good sense of humour. You must have the resilience and commitment to ensure high quality learning experiences for all children, whatever their needs. You will be passionate about teaching and learning and be prepared to support a rich play-based, child-initiated curriculum.

The Governors and Headteacher of Buglawton Primary School are looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work across our school.
Starting as soon as possible, the successful candidate must have experience of supporting children’s learning as well as their social and emotional needs. You should be warm, encouraging, patient and be dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for all children. The successful candidate will work across the primary phases. Experience of supporting children with special educational needs (including those with a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD) is essential as this will form part of the role.
