Our Preschool Day

What does our Preschool day look like?

Morning Session – Within this session, children will access continuous and enhanced provision within our indoor and outdoor areas. This includes open ended play such as in the home corner, small world and construction area, playdough/ malleable materials table, art area, mark-making, investigation area, book corner, loose parts area, water table, sandpit, physical development equipment (such as balls, beanbags etc), playhouse, large-scale construction equipment, and mud kitchen. They will enjoy a healthy snack (provided by Preschool) with their friends and will be invited to participate in an adult-led activities, such as listening and engaging with stories, playing phonics games, and maths activities. We regularly visit our school hall for PE sessions, the school 'forest' for Forest School sessions, as well as purposeful walks around the school to become familiar and comfortable with our wider school family.

Lunch – Children staying for the full day will have lunch, and can either bring a packed lunch or pre-order a school meal.

Afternoon session – Within this session, children will access continuous and enhanced provision within our indoor and outdoor areas, just as in the morning. They will enjoy a healthy snack (provided by Preschool) with their friends and will be invited to participate in an adult-led activities, such as 'understanding the world.' We regularly visit our school hall for PE sessions, the school 'forest' for Forest School sessions, as well as purposeful walks around the school to become familiar and comfortable with our wider school family.
