Google Classroom

As a school, we use Google Classroom to record pupils’ learning and as a form of communication between home and school.

Google Classroom will be your place to find information on your child’s progress and weekly updates from your child’s teacher on topics and learning that will be taking place. It will also be the place for you to share your child’s successes and learning that take place at home so that your child’s teaching staff can see what your child has achieved. Google Classroom will allow the quick upload of any photos that are taken in and out of school and the easy sharing of documents – we hope that you find it simple and easy to use!

Your child’s username (school e-mail address) and password will be sent to you in a letter when your child starts with us. Please keep a note of these details.

Please follow the instructions below to log in:

Step 1: Go to Google Classroom

On a laptop or computer: visit http://classroom.google.com

On a phone or tablet: download the ‘Google Classroom’ app from your device’s app store.

Step 2: Add your child as an additional user (very important)

Parents may find that they are automatically logged in to their own existing Google account and cannot access their child’s class. To avoid this, please ensure you add your child as a separate user by following the instructions below

· Click your profile picture (top right)

· Select “add another account”

· Enter your child’s login details provided above

Whenever you want to access Google Classroom, please check that the account shown in the top right corner is your child’s account and not your own. If not, click the profile picture and switch to the school account.
