All classes follow the National Curriculum scheme of work for Music and we ensure a progression of skills from years 1 to 6. Music forms part of all topics and is part of our broad and balanced curriculum.
At Buglawton, Year 4 children receive weekly woodwind lessons from an expert teacher. During this year, the children have the opportunity to learn how to play the clarinet or saxophone. In addition, during the school day, a number of children have the opportunity for personal music lessons. The instruments currently being taught include piano, guitar, and clarinet. All of these lessons are taught by Music for Life.
