Our Preschool Environment
What is the environment like inside our preschool?
We believe our learning environment is the 'second teacher' and work hard to ensure our environment is enhanced following our children's curiosities. We drive this curiosity by embedding open-ended resources and 'real life' objects into our provision such as china tea sets and typewriters! The resources within our provision provide opportunities for multiple outcomes across the 7 Areas of Learning and Development. We believe that children can still explore a theme, not through set activities but through carefully selected resources. Children are given the opportunity to choose what or where they would like to play.

• Role‑Play & Small World
This area in our provision encourages imaginative play storytelling and social interaction. Resources are open‑ended and themed around real-life experiences, allowing children to develop language, cooperation and problem-solving skills.
• Construction Area
Using blocks, wooden materials and loose parts, children explore shape, balance, design and teamwork. This area supports early mathematical thinking and fosters perseverance and creativity.
• Creative & Malleable Area
Children have opportunities to explore paint, collage, clay and playdough, developing fine motor skills and artistic expression. Enhancements reflect current interests to inspire creativity.
• Investigation & Discovery Area
Natural objects, magnifying glasses, collections and provocations help children observe, question and explore the world around them. This area nurtures curiosity, critical thinking and scientific enquiry.
• Outdoor Learning
Our outdoor space extends the classroom and provides opportunities for physical development, imaginative play and exploration of the natural world. From construction to water play, outdoors offers challenge, adventure and freedom to explore on a larger scale.
Our continuous provision supports children to become independent, confident and creative learners. Through meaningful play, rich language experiences and warm, positive relationships, children develop the foundations they need for future success. Indoors and outdoors, our spaces promote exploration, problem‑solving and high levels of engagement, ensuring that every child feels valued, understood and inspired every day.
