At Buglawton, it is important our children have the opportunity to develop their Art skills outside of the curriculum... 

 

Art Exhbition 2024 

To celebrate diversity in Art, every child in school produced a piece of artwork. To celebrate their success we organised an Art Exhition.

Year 2 worked with a real-life artist! 

Claire Louise Harding, a local textile artist came to work with our Year 2 class on their printing topic.

Year 1 Trip to the Whitworth Art Gallery

Our Year 1 class visited the Whitworth Art Gallery to experience a gallery in 'real life'. The children took part in a sculpture workshop and had the opportunity to look around the gallery. The children particulary enjoyed the exhibition about Althea McNish.

Rotary Photography Competition

Year 3 Trip to the Lowry 

Our Year 3 class visited the Lowry Art Gallery and had the opportunity to take part in their own workshop with an Artist and develop their drawing skills.

Whole School Art Project

All children across the school contributed to designing and creating our 3D Bees to Success display in the school hall.

Scarecrow Competition 

Buglawton placed first in the Congleton Community Scarecrow Competition.

Extra Curricular Clubs

 

Throughout the school year, we run a variety of extra curricular clubs. These include: Colouring Club, Craft Club, Drawing Skills and a Young Artist Club. 

 

Rotary Young Artist Competition 

In 2022, many of our children placed at the Rotary Young Artist Competition.
