Safety Ministers
Safety Ministers
Our Safety Ministers are a team of dedicated pupils from Years 2 to 6 who are passionate about helping to keep everyone safe, both in school and beyond.
Each two years, our Safety Ministers are elected by their classmates through a democratic vote, giving pupils the opportunity to take on an important leadership role and represent the views of their peers. This process helps children develop an understanding of democracy and pupil voice while encouraging responsibility and teamwork.
The Safety Ministers meet regularly to discuss ways to promote and improve safety across our school. They share ideas, identify priorities and work together to ensure that important safety messages are communicated to all pupils.
Throughout the year, they lead engaging assemblies on a range of important topics, including:
Fire Safety
Road Safety
Rail Safety
Water Safety
Internet Safety
These assemblies help pupils understand how to recognise risks, make safe choices and know what to do in different situations. By leading these sessions themselves, our Safety Ministers develop confidence, leadership skills and a strong sense of responsibility, while inspiring others to take safety seriously.
We are extremely proud of the commitment and enthusiasm shown by our Safety Ministers. Their work helps to create a safe, caring and informed school community where everyone understands the importance of looking after themselves and others.
